Sonnhalter Memorial Fund 2026
Each year SoCal Interclub invites skaters to apply for one of four grants distributed from the Betty Sonnhalter Memorial Fund.
Grants are available for the following categories
· Championship Track Juvenile or Intermediate, in Singles or Pairs Free Skate, or Couples Free Dance.
· Championship Track Novice and above, in Singles or Pairs Free Skate, or Couples Free Dance.
· Championship Track Juvenile/Open Juvenile and above, in Synchronized Skating.

The Chado Scholarship 2026
The Socal Interclub DEI Committee is proud to announce that our 2026 Cathy Machado Scholarship is now open to applications from any Socal Skaters from affiliated member clubs. Please see the attached announcement and application.
Please forward to your membership and encourage them to submit.
The committee will take into consideration each applicant's articulation of what Diversity, Equity and Inclusion means and how it applies to their personal lived experiences.
The application deadline is October 1st and it is a $500 prize!

U.S. Figure Skating Announces
2026-27 National Qualifying Series Schedule
The National Qualifying Series begins in July and runs through October, culminating with the National Qualifying Series Finals, which take place in November.
NQS and the NQS Finals serve as one of the qualifying pipelines to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
New this year, juvenile, intermediate and novice singles, pairs and ice dance athletes will have the opportunity to advance from the Finals to the new U.S. Development Team Championships.
